The Port of Coos Bay is seeking to hire a Maintenance & Security Technician who will participate as a key team member in the security, maintenance, and repairs of equipment and facilities operated by the Port.   As a Maintenance & Security Technician, you will serve as a frontline customer service representative during and after normal working hours, maintain facilities and grounds to a safe, clean, and sanitary condition, and assist maintenance staff with routine repairs and maintenance of the Charleston Marina Complex facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety for customers and members of the public.
   
The Charleston Marina Complex is an active fishing village with over 400 moorage slips for recreational and commercial vessels, a six lane launch ramp, multiple restaurants and businesses, over 100 full service RV camping sites, and a bustling shipyard for the building, repairing, and storing of vessels.  Charleston is also a premier destination for a variety of outdoor activities including fishing, crabbing, and clamming.
 
As a Maintenance & Security Technician, you will need to have 1 year of relevant work experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.  You will need to have a valid Department of Public Safety Standards and Training Private Security Training Certification, or the ability to obtain.
