ANNOUNCEMENT: Geotechnical Borings for Coos Bay Channel Modification Project
The Port will commence geotechnical borings in Coos Bay, starting October 9 and completing in early November. Borings will be conducted using a jack up barge and truck mounted drill rig. Boring locations vary, but borings conducted at the entrance, in the vicinity of Guano Rock, will be on the edge of the navigation channel. A Local Notice to Mariners has been issued and the Coos Bay Pilots will be in close contact with contractors.
