Current career position: Assistant General Manager Three Rivers Resorts Florence & Coos Bay
Educational Background and highlights: As a child of a career Air Force NCO, Bob attended 12 schools in 12 years including Vicenza High School (Vicenza, Italy) Lakenheath High School (Lakenheath, England), and Springfield High School (Springfield, OR) before attending college in Portland, Oregon at Reed College and Portland State University.
Work History/Highlights: Bob has worked for the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians since 2003 serving in Financial Management and management capacities. Under his leadership, the Tribes have opened the original Three Rivers Casino in Florence in 2004, expanded that facility and added a hotel in 2007, and recently opened Three Rivers Casino Coos Bay.
Civic and Professional Activities: Bob represents the Port on the South Coast Development Council Board of Directors. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Florence and was the initial President of The Rotary Club of Florence Foundation. He recently completed 8 years as Chairman of the Tribal Council of the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua & Siuslaw Indians.
Family: Bob and his Wife Wendy enjoy life in North Bend with their mini-pig Hank. He has two adult children Tyler and Nicole.
Special Interests: The Garcias enjoy the scenic beauty and recreational opportunities that abound on the Oregon Coast including clamming, crabbing and fishing for Salmon and bottom fish. Whenever possible, they recharge at a cabin on SiltCoos lake.
