Pilotage Information

An experienced maritime labor force and a full complement of marine services, including ship assist, vessel
towing and barge shipping services and the Coos Bay Pilot's Association assures timely vessel movements
in and out of the harbor 24 hours a day, year-round with few restrictions for weather or ocean conditions,
thanks in part to Coos Bay’s temperate climate.

Pilotage is compulsory in Oregon. Pilots are available 24-hours a day (weather and ocean conditions permitting) year-round for the Coos Bay entrance bar and channel.
