Chief Operating Officer
Kathy D. Wall

Kathy Wall joined the Oregon International Port of Coos Bay in June
2006 and has served as the chief operating officer since July 2012.
Before moving to Oregon, she held several staff positions in the
legal field and worked in the financial and construction industries
in the southwestern United States. Kathy earned a Bachelor of
Business Administration, cum
laude, in Management Information Systems from the University of
New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management.
Kathy previously was the harbormaster, overseeing the Charleston
Marina & Launch Ramp, the Charleston Marina RV Park and the
Charleston Shipyard. Prior to that she served as the government and
environmental affairs manager. As chief operating officer, Kathy
will continue to have oversight responsibility for Charleston
operations while expanding on her role as primary liaison between
the Port, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the private marine
terminal operators, maritime service providers, the Coos Bay Rail
Link and other community stakeholders. In addition, she will
prioritize and assign work, develop and implement port operations
and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies and
procedures.
She also holds a board of director position on the Southern Oregon
Ocean Resource Coalition (SOORC) and is a member of the Pacific
Coast Congress of Harbormasters and Port Managers. Kathy serves on
several subcommittees of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, as well
as representing the port in several industry associations.
Kathy’s husband, Mark Wall, is the Forestry Manager for Roseburg Forest Products and their daughters Sarah and
Kaitlin attend school in the North Bend School District.
